Biography
The Dirty Muggs is St. Louis' high energy choreographic machine of creative and talented entertainers who have World Class and Hall of Fame experience. The band was founded by lead guitarist, Dee Dee "Muggs" James who has played world tours with George Clinton's Parliament-Funkadelics with Bootsy Collins, as well as Lenny Kravitz, Color Me Bad and Paula Abdul. American Idol Finalist Nikko Smith joins the talented Cassandra Llea as lead vocalists.
The group has opened for numerous national acts including Andy Grammer, Jason Derulo, Frankie Beverly, Akon, FLO RIDA, George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelics, the Whispers, Mystikal, Salt 'n Peppa, Sir Mix A lot, and Morris Day & The Time.
The Dirty Muggs enjoy playing in St. Louis and the Midwest's top nightclubs, amphitheaters, festivals, corporate parties, and charity events, including Nelly's Black & White Ball. The Dirty Muggs has also been named St. Louis Magazine's A-List Party Band and STL Post-Dispatch GO Magazine's Best Cover Band.
